Guwahati: A huge public outcry has erupted in Assam's North Lakhimpur district following the death of a woman under mysterious conditions.
It is suspected that the woman, who was found unconscious beside NH 52 last Friday, was first gang-raped and then beaten up mercilessly. She was rushed to a hospital in Guwahati where she succumbed to her injuries.
