As the Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh are underway, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah in an exclusive interview to India News spoke about the ‘Modi wave’ in the state of UP, BJP’s performance, Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in Maharashtra and the current clashes in Delhi University.

Responding to whether BJP will form government in Uttar Pradesh, Amit Shah said, “There is no question of BJP not forming a government of its own in UP. We will get approximately 2/3rd majority in state.”

Speaking on BJP’s election campaign in the state, the Amit Shah said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest face of our campaign as he is our biggest leader. On all 403 seats, we will be either first or second.”

“BJP organised its parivartan rallies all across the state and it has received a good response,” Amit Shah added.
