NewsX: Modi to be declared as BJP's PM candidate on his birthday

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Narendra Minister Modi's name is likely to be announced as BJP's PM candidate for 2014 General Elections before 17 September after consensus seemed to have been reached between BJP and RSS, reports said on Monday. The development came soon after the two day meet of the BJP-RSS ended today evening. BJP's highest decision- making body Parliamentary Board is expected next week to make the announcement. Efforts are reportedly underway to ensure that the announcement coincides with Modi's birthday on September 17. According to reports, neither party patriarch LK Advani nor BJP's senior leaders Sushma Swaraj are against the idea of making Narendra Modi as BJP's PM candidate.
