Maharashtra govt says no to Valentine's Day rave parties by college students

After 3 years of Maharashtra Government's assurance in Legislative Council it is now fulfilling its promise of stopping youth from indulging in rave parties.

In 2010, the State Government had given assurance in Legistative Council that they will introduce measures to prevent college going students from organizing and Participating in Valentine's day and rave Parties.

State government's Directive says, during their college life, students tend to celebrate friendship day, valentine's day as well as organise rave and liquor parties. Women are also part of these. But a social and law and order problems arise out of such parties.

Now, nearly 3 years later Maharashtra government is acting on its promise. The state issued Directives to Mumbai University to Send circular to its affiliated colleges instructing them to take steps to ban celebration of Valentine's day and friendship day in Colleges.
Many call it moral policing of Mumbai university and are ready to rebel.
