Situation continues to remain tense in Jammu and Kashmir which has seen a spiraling of communal clashes in the trouble torned state. Fresh clashes have been reported in curfew-clamped Kishtwar district in Jammu region leaving 10 people, including an Assistant Superintendent of Police, injured. Over 100 persons have been arrested in Jammu among which atleast 11 arrests were made in Kishtwar alone.

Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister has shamefully sought to add even more communal fire to the riots in Kishtwar. After his minister of state for home Sajjad Kichloo was forced to resign. Omar tweeted that there have been 3 unfortunate deaths in total. 1 Hindu and 2 Muslim are dead. Raking up the 2002 Gujarat riots, Omar added whether the BJP would care to recount their response to the 2002 violence.
