News X: Even though Srinivasan has bulldozed his way back into the BCCI, the question arises whether the vanguards of cricket in India will be able to stop the BCCI president's charge.

There has been strong opposition within the BCCI over his blatant misuse of power. However, not many within the anti-Srinivasan camp have come forth and openly opposed him.

Those in the opposition want to force Srinivasan and the BCCI to adhere to the Bombay HC's directive and appoint a new probe panel. I S Bindra, Niranjan Shah and Jagmohan Dalmiya are leading the opposition against Srinivasan.

Srinivasan's detractors don't want him to chair the meeting today. They are mulling walkout as an option to register their protest. Senior office bearers like Arun Jaitley and Rajiv Shukla have not made their opposition to Srinivasan public so far.

Sources have told Headlines Today that in all, 8 cricket associations are in rebellion against Srinivasan. 12 BCCI board members have also aligned themselves against him.

Sources said Jagmohan Dalmiya is all set to dump Srinivasan, which will effectively take away two votes of the Bengal association and Nation Cricket Club. Maharashtra, Saurashtra, Jharkhand and Rajasthan are some other associations arraigned against Srinivasan.
