News X: Man throws Acid on Woman

News X: Despite a strict order by Supreme Court recently, the acid attacks continue unabated.
In the latest, a woman in Delhi NCR has been attacked. The victim has suffered 30 per cent burns and has been hospitalised. Doctors say her condition is stable.
Remember, the apex court in its verdict on July 18th had directed state governments to give an increased compensation of 3 lakh. It also instructed the state governments to implement strict norms for purchase and sale of acid treating it as a poison under the Poisons Act of 1919. In the latest case, police have registered a case though the accused is still on run.
