News X: Lyricist Javed Akhtar's petition asking for an enquiry into the fake encounters in Gujarat will come up for hearing before the Supreme Court today.
The petition dates back to 2007, when the eminent lyricist moved the Supreme Court, seeking a probe by the Special Investigating Team into the killing of one Sameer Khan in an alleged fake encounter by the Gujarat police.
