NewsX: In West Bengal, six weeks after the Kamduni gangrape and murder. The CID on Monday got a fresh jolt when two of the accused, Saiful Ali and Bhola Naskar, moved court alleging that they had been forced by the CID to confess to the crime. Even as the TMC government is trying to make the school headmaster a bait in the case.
The duo told Barasat fast track judge Arpan Chattopadhyay that their statements recorded before a judicial magistrate under Sec 164 CrPC had been made after they were coerced and threatened with dire consequences by CID.
Pradip Mukherjee has registered a general diary at the local police station. The West Bengal Human Rights Commission will now record the statements of the gang-rape victim's brother, Mukherjee and the villagers on July 29th.
