Supreme Court's order is a setback for those seeking harsh punishment for the minor accused in December 16 gang-rape case.
It is now expected that the minor accused in the henious crime of gang-rape might get away with a meagre term of 3 years. The juvenile would have been tried for murder if he was above 18 years.
A Juvenile Justice Board is trying the minor accused and is expected to take a decision on 25th July 25.
