News X: The Calcutta High Court on Monday has ordered 17 Kolkata doctors to stand trial for criminal conspiracy in a case pertaining to 1998-1999.The case pertains to the alleged death by medical negligence of NRI patient Dr Anuradha Saha. The 17 doctors who were members of the state medical council had given a clean chit to three doctors Saha had blamed for his wife's death.Among those who will face trial is West Bengal medical council former president Dr Ashok Chowdhury. One of the three Kolkata doctors accused of medical negligence in the case is Dr Sukumar Mukherjee, who is now 'chief adviser' of health for the Mamata Banerjee govt.
