News X: South Africa's ailing anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela is showing "great improvement", his former wife said today as his countrymen continued to pray for the speedy recovery of the 94-year-old former president. "I'm not a doctor but I can say that from what he was a few days ago there is great improvement," Winnie Madikizela-Mandela told reporters outside his former home in Orlando, Soweto.
