NewsX: Heavy rain continues to mar rescue operations in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand. Nearly 10,000 people remain stranded in remote parts of the State. However, the Government has claimed that many of the stranded have been accomodated in make-shift camps supervised by the Army and the Air Force. Despite the deteriorating weather, the Air Force, which manage to air-lift as many as 1000 people on Monday, have said in a statement that the operations will not stop.
