NewsX: Indian Government has launched a surveillance programme that gives security agencies and income tax officials ability to tap directly into emails and phone calls. This system will allow government to listen and tape phone calls, read emails and text messages. Sources tell NewsX these taps can be carried out without oversight by courts or parliament.
