Spot Fixing : Previous IPL Controversies

Spot Fixing: This is not the first time IPL is clouded with controversies, lets take a look at some of the previous instances involving IPL players and owners.

In the first season of IPL, Harbhajan Singh was banned for 11 matches for slapping S. Sreeesanth.

In 2011, Kerala franchisee was terminated.

2012 saw the maximum number of controversies with RCB's Australian player Luke Pomersbach getting arrested for molesting a woman at a five-star hotel in Delhi.

KKR owner and actor Shah Rukh Khan was banned from Wankhede Stadium for five years for roughing up the stadium staff.

As many as five players were suspended for spot fixing.

Kings 11 Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta upset over dismissal of her team player Shaun Marsh and Rajasthan wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami blamed the curator for changing the track.

MCA also lodged a complaint with IPL authorities against team Punjab for damaging the dressing room while 2 Pune players got into trouble for attending a rave party.

This year, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa banned Sri Lankan players from playing in Chennai.
