NewsX: CBI probe in railgate hots up today as probe agency seizes several vital files. These files are on promotions and tenders. The files figured in phone transcripts of railway bribery scam accused. Not only this all appointments after 2008 are under scanner. Meanwhile, CBI has questioned an RPF inspector also. He had tipped off Rail Minister's wife about CBI raids. Earlier CBI questioned five senior Railway Officials in the cash for appointment case that cost former Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal his ministerial berth. The five officials were reportedly involved in looking after the files pertaining to Mahesh Kumar's promotion and posting.
