The Supreme Court directs Bihar government to pay 5000 rupees monthly maintenance to the conjoined twins Sabah and Farah. The court also directed the state govt that medical facilities to be provided as and when required by the twins and also to ensure their regular medical checkup. Doctors say the twins' case is complicated - they share an artery that carries blood to their hearts. Also, Farah has two kidneys while Saba has none. In July, Farah suffered from severe abdominal pain which left her family in a state of panic. Doctors say there is a stark medical warning that if separated surgically, one will surely die, while the other's chance of survival is grim.
