Increase in diet of poor prime cause of inflation: Subbarao

The RBI Governor Subbarao has come up with a bizarre logic on inflation by linking it to the dietary change of the poor. Speaking on macroeconomic challenges, Subbarao claimed that impressive rise in rural incomes is fuelling food inflation as people's dietary habits are changing for the better and has led to increase in consumption.
