Beni regrets remark on Mulayam, no acceptance from SP yet

Notwithstanding the DMK withdrawal, more trouble is brewing for the UPA. The tone of SP, on whom the Cong depends for outside support has changed drastically over Beni Prasad's remark against SP chief Mulayam's links with terrorists. Beni Prasad after meeting PM Manmohan Singh has expressed regret for his remark but looks like Mulayam would not easily give up on the remark especially with it providing him a plank to be tough with the Government.
