Shettar enroute to Delhi to meet BJP president Rajnath

Karnataka CM Shettar is due to meet party president Rajnath Singh in the national capital. On taking over as party President, Rajnath is reported to have told Shettar not to resort to manipulation to save his government, which is facing a rebellion by supporters of BS Yeddyurappa. In Bangalore, Shettar has told HR Bhardwaj that his govt held a majority despite the resignations. Governor Bhardwaj has sought records of parties' assembly strength before he addresses a joint session on February 3.
