Veteran south Indian playback singer S Janaki has declined to accept the Padma Bhushan award as she feels that the honour has come too late in her 55-year long career. In fact, after looking at the awardees. Janaki feels that it is dominated by North Indians and considers this as a prejudice against South Indians.
