Delhi gangrape: Victim's father wants to reveal her name

The father of the Delhi gangrape victim says he wants his daughter's name revealed, saying it will only give courage to other women. But he stressed that he did not want her photograph released. But as per Indian law, the identity of victims of sexual assault cannot be revealed. Delhi Police refused to comment on the interview. The girl's father was interviewed by the publication in his village in Ballia district in Uttar Pradesh. The publication carried pictures of her family at their ancestral home. However, later the braveheart's father denied that he allowed his daughter to be identified after a British paper revealed her name, saying that should be done only if a law is name after her.
