Centre ready for unconditional talks with Maoists - NewsX

The Centre is ready to talk to the Maoists without any conditions. This was stated by Union Minister Jairam Ramesh in Jharkhand. Addressing an open assembly of villagers, Ramesh said it wasn't the first time the Government had made such offer. But he alleged that the Maoists were interested because they just don't believe in democracy. Ramesh is on a 4-day visit to the naxalism-affected villages. He also asked the villagers to help the government in its fight against the naxalites.
