Indications are out once again that Rahul Gandhi will be Congress' Prime Ministerial candidate in the 2014 elections. The party has said that he would take up an important responsibility in the organisation soon and would lead the poll campaign in the Parliamentary elections. Congress spokesperson P C Chacko, on confirming Congress President's political secretary, Ahmed Patel's remark that Rahul Gandhi will lead the campaign in 2014, said and I quote "He (Rahul Gandhi) will lead the UPA's campaign in 2014, while Sonia Gandhi will play the role of a Patron and supreme Leader." However, to a pointed question as to whether Rahul would be projected as the Prime Ministerial candidate, Chacko said that it will be decided after the elections.
