BJP blames UPA for low bidding at spectrum auction - NewsX

With less than estimated collections in the 2G spectrum auctions, BJP defended the CAG's submission that there was a loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore in the earlier allocations and said the UPA government's policies were responsible for the low bidding. "They (UPA government) first destroyed the telecom sector, a sector which is the real success story of economic liberalisation in India. First that success story was destroyed. Having destroyed the market and the sector how would you expect that people would come forward and bid the amounts that you are expecting," BJP leader Yashwant Sinha told reporters.
