It is not yet two months since West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was slammed by one and all for disrupting the sales of a book by a senior police officer. Now the Trinamool leader has shown her undemocratic side by deciding to don the avatar of a film censor. The state-run Star Theatre in Kolkata today stopped the screening of Bengali film 'Teen Kanya'. The filmmakers allege that Mamata's partymen fear that the film's plot bears a resemblance to the real-life Park Street rape case, in which an Anglo Indian woman was raped in a moving car..The film's screening has been stopped despite the state's Education Minister and actor Bratya Basu playing a key role in it.
