UP minister accused of abducting CMO, resigns - NewsX

Amid growing pressure of Goonda Raj engulfing Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh has cracked the whip. Sources say that based on the diktat from SP supremo, the revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Vinod Kumar Singh under fire for allegedly threatening and abducting Gonda CMO DR SP Singh for not including the list of doctors given by him for appointment, has resigned. However, Vinod Kumar has claimed that he was stepping down as people were trying to malign the party's image by taking his name. Vinod Kumar Singh also has 3 criminal cases against him and is also an accused in grain scam. The UP government has also ordered a high-level probe into the abduction incident.
