Varsha Bhosle, daughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, allegedly committed suicide on Monday by shooting herself with a licenced gun at her South Mumbai residence. Varsha's body was discovered in a pool of blood by her maid servant and driver. She was known to be suffering from depression for a long time and had attempted suicide twice in the past, police said. In 2008, she had reportedly consumed sleeping pills but the family had maintained that her illness was a reaction to some medicine.
