Sonia to kick-start Congress' poll campaign in Rajkot - NewsX

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will kick off Congress' election campaign for the upcoming assembly elections from Rajkot on Wednesday. Gandhi's visit comes in the backdrop of chief minister Narendra Modi accusing her of wasting public money worth Rs 1,880 crore on personal foreign tours. Before she addresses a rally at the sprawling Race Course Ground, Gandhi will visit Ramkrishna Ashram, Kaba Gandhi no Delo and Balbhavan. According to Congress leaders, she will arrive in the city at 10.30 am on Wednesday and address the rally at 11.55 am. Congress leaders were seen making last minute preparations to ensure maximum number of people attend the rally. Party leaders and workers from across Saurashtra have already reached Rajkot, considered to be a BJP bastion.
