In a first, India to deploy 2 tank brigades on China boundary, gives itself more mobility and firepower on the disputed border. This is part of the competitive military build-up on both sides of the disputed 4,500-km Sino-Indian boundary. The tank brigades will give India the capability to make offensive cross-border strikes. Sources say this is in response to China deploying tank and motorised formations on their side of the Line of Actual Control.
