The nation woke up to news of a traffic policemen beaten and bruised, punished for performing his duty in Srinagar. The cop was beaten up by guards of a minister in the Jammu and Kashmir cabinet. The cop was beaten brutally for stopping Minister Taj Moihuddin's entourage when the minister's cavalcade failed to stop at a traffic signal. The minister says he wasn't present, the cop says the minister was there and saw it all.
