Ready to demonstrate for Aseem's release, warns Kejriwal - NewsX

Social activist Kejriwal met Aseem Trivedi at Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai and warned that if the sedition charges against Aseem are not dropped, activists will begin a demonstration outside the jail. After the outrage that poured in over the arrest of cartoonist Aseem Trivedi, the Maharashtra government is set to drop the sedition charge against him. This comes as Aseem vowed not to apply for bail till the sedition charge against him was dropped. But even as the sedition charges are to be withdrawn the other two charges under Section 66 A of Information Technology Act and Section 2 of Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, will remain. Aseem Trivedi's supporters claim he is a victim of vendetta politics with the government deliberately targeting him for supporting the anti corruption movement championed by Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal.
