211 people died in six months during clinical trials in India - NewsX

In a shocker that could send shiver up one's spine, as many as 211 people have died until June this year due to serious adverse events during clinical trials. Worst is, the number of such deaths have been increasing year, but nothing has been done to check it. During the past two years alone over 1000 people have died due to such trials, but the Government is yet to have strong provisions in place to regulate the conduct of such clinical trials in the Country.
