Jalandhar hospital lets infant die over Rs200 - NewsX

It is a shocking story, that has sparked outrage across the country. A government hospital in Jalandhar, denied vital medical attention to a girl child, only because her impoverished parents failed to come up with the required fees, only Rs 200. The infant born in the hospital on July 20th was kept in an incubator since. When fees were demanded, her father Sanjeev, a daily wage labourer failed to come up with the sum.
