Gulbarg Massacre case: SIT hands out final report to Zakia Jafri - NewsX

Despite the SIT's final report giving a clean chit to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the Gulbarg Massacre case, trouble continues to persist for Modi. A metropolitan court in Ahmedabad has handed over the final copy of the SIT report to Zakia Jafri, the widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri who was among the 69 persons killed.
Though the final report is about 100 odd pages, the total investigation papers, which include statements and intelligence reports and other police records runs to 20,000 to 25,000 pages. Zakia is expected to appear before the court on May 10 to inform the court as to whether or not all the documents sought for has been provided. Thereafter the court is expected to fix a date for further hearing in the case. Zakia has also been given a copy of the amicus curiae report filed independently by Raju Ramachandran.
