Defence Minister A.K. Antony met DMK chief Karunanidhi today to build a consensus within the UPA over the Presidential candidate. The meeting comes a few days after Sonia Gandhi met Agriculture Minister and NCP leader Sharad Pawar who is understood to have urged the Congress chief on the need for a consensus on the new President. Party sources said a meeting between Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and Sonia Gandhi is also expected.
