The Sri Lankan government is at the receiving end of allegations of war crimes once again. A documentary showing alleged atrocities by Sri Lankan military is to be aired on a UK television channel soon. A resolution accusing the Sri Lankan government of war crimes and human rights violation is to come up for vote at the United Nations Human Rights Council later this week. The Rajapakse government has been accused of cold blooded murder of Tamil civilians and human rights violations during the end phase of the LTTE war. The UN report says almost 40,000 people were killed, and there is credible evidence of the military executing Tamil civilians.
