India just celebrated a year without any fresh polio cases but there is disastrous news on another disease's war front. Tuberculosis has morphed into a totally drug resistant or TDR mode. 12 patients detected so far at Mumbai's P D Hinduja Hospital, of which 3 are dead now. The Centre and the World Health Organization have rushed teams of doctors to the maximum city to analyze the dangers. India has become the 2nd country in the world after Iran where totally drug resistant tuberculosis has been detected.
