Employers are hiking salaries at an average of 12 percent and companies are hiring over 5 lakh new employees thia year, an improvement of about 8 percent from 2011. In the words of Sunil Goel, Director of Global Hunt "If all goes well, and depending on policies of the government and market situation, more than 5 lakh jobs will be created across all segments". Sectors expected hike are IT & IT enabled services, Retail , Healthcare, Defense, Hospitality, Consumer durables.
