Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda is facing a crucial vote in the legislative council by-poll today. Gowda needs to win the election to stay on as the Chief Minister. According to rules, Gowda has to become a member of either the legislative Council or the Assembly within six months of becoming Chief Minister.
