Food inflation slips to 8%

Numbers coming in for week ending November 19, reveal that food inflation has slipped sharply to 8 per cent, from 9.01% in the preceding week. This is the third time in as many weeks that the inflation figures have dipped, offering some relief to the common man. The RBI had earlier said that it expects inflation to moderate to 7% by end of current fiscal.
