Kingfisher Chairman Vijay Mallya has finally come out with his clarifications over the recent cancellations of the cash-strapped airlines. He said that the government should consider allowing FDI in aviation and reiterated that the company cannot afford to fly heavily loss-making routes. Putting up a brave front, Kingfisher Airlines chief Vijay Mallya has clarified that phasing out Kingfisher Red was misconstrued as shutting down a part of airline, which is not true. Mallya said that there will be no large scale layoffs but the company was looking at cutting costs.
