BJP courts Muslims with Vande Mataram for UP polls

With an eye on coming assembly elections, BJP tried to gain ground among Muslims by organizing a 'minority self respect conference' at Lucknow on Monday. Former union ministers Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Shahnawaz Hussain attended the conference. Both BJP leaders tried to explain their party's stand and blamed Congress for the sufferings of Muslims.
