Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad Police today arrested Rahul, a driver for allegedly killing 7 members the builder family yesterday in city's Nai Basti area.
The accused is former driver of the family, said police.
The family made allegation of stealing 4.5 lakh on the former driver and discharged him from his job, police said.
The deceased, identified as Satish Chandra Goel (65), a businessman, his wife Manju (62), son Sachin (40), daughter in-law Rekha (38) and three grandchildren -- Megha (13), Neha (10) and Aman (7) -- were murdered using a sharp edged weapon, IG R K Vishwakarma said.
He said that initially it was suspected that an axe was used in the multiple murder, but later a knife with fingerprints on it was recovered from the spot.
