IPL 2013 Spot-Fixng: Addressing the media after the BCCI meet in Chennai, BCCI chief N Srinivasan said that the committee doesn't have the power to control betting. "We are not a police or a govt organisation, so we are handicapped when it comes to control over bookies."
The BCCI chief said that they have promised full cooperation to the Delhi Police in its investigation and have requested the police to give the BCCI more information to conduct domestic inquiry.
Srinivasan said that there will be Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) officer with each IPL team now. Ravi Sawani has been appointed to look into the disciplinary actions that need to be taken against the arrested players. He also announced that all players, agents are to be accredited henceforth with the BCCI. "Player access will be monitored closely," he said.
