Dayanidhi Maran's fate as a Union Minister is to be decided. The CBI's status report on the 2G scam to the Supreme Court has spelt clear trouble for Dayanidhi Maran, the Union minister for Textiles. With Maran being under scanner, the opposition has increased the pitch for his dismissal. The clamour for Maran's dismissal is coming not just from Jayalalithaa led AIDMK, the DMK's political rival in Tamil Nadu but also from the Opposition BJP at the national level.
