India News: ASG Harin Raval resigned today in the wake of an ugly spat with the Attorney General G.E. Vahanvati over who misled the Supreme Court into thinking that the CBI status report into coal block allocations had not been vetted by the political executive. A source said that he sent in his resignation earlier in the day. Law ministry sources are yet to confirm whether it has been accepted.
