Controversy is brewing over Bal Thackeray's memorial

The spot has become a makeshift memorial to the deceased Shiv Sena supremo and hundreds of people come here everyday to pay their respects to Bal Thackeray. Sainiks wary of the civic administration's bid to dismantle the structure have been guarding the spot for nearly a month now. Teams from shakhas and vibhags from across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane come here every day and guard the memorial in shifts.
