BJP in Gujarat Demand's Governor's Resignation over Land-grabbing charges

The BJP government in Gujarat is demanding the resignation of Governor Kamla Beniwal.
The demand is in the wake of a Jaipur magistrate asking police to investigate forgery and land grabbing charges against her and her organisation- Kisan Samuhik Krushi Sahakari Samiti, which is based in Jaipur. Last month, the BJP had submitted a request to President Pranab Mukherjee's office seeking removal of Beniwal, while citing a similar case. The BJP insists that in order to ensure a fair investigation into the case Kamla Beniwal must resign as Gujarat Governor.
