Lords report finds government on wrong side of law in Yemen
  • 5 years ago
The House of Lords International Relations Committee has published a report which finds the UK government is "narrowly on the wrong side" of international humanitarian law in its licensing of arms sales to Saudi Arabia during the current hostilities in Yemen. The chair of the committee, Lord Howell of Guildford, disagreed with cutting off all arms supplies to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates but said that Britain should challenge "any violations of human rights that we have evidence of".
